A threat by the Unite union to take strike action over a pay dispute with Menzies Distribution has been lifted after both sides reached a settlement. The SNS had previously called for both sides to re-enter negotiations after talks broke down and the union raised the prospect of attempting to disrupt newspaper deliveries over two days.
“I am obviously delighted that agreement has been reached,” said SNS director John McLellan.
