Coming up in Tuesday’s Courier boars and buffoons

If there’s one thing worse than the company of a bore while on a long walk in the countryside then it is the company of a boar while on a long walk in the countryside.

In Tuesday’s Courier we go the whole hog with our coverage of the wild boars on the loose in Courier Country. It was a pig of a story but we did feel it was important to forage for all the facts.

Staying out and about in the countryside and we have all the latest as “The Donald” declares a corner of Scotland will be forever Trumpland. Lovely stuff.

Readers can also meet the young man who thought it would be a terrific wheeze to break into an electricity box so he could turn a street’s lights on. And off. And on. And off. It was all most amusing until his mother rang and said her internet wasn’t working properly. At which point he (presumably somewhat sheepishly) turned the power back on again.

Meanwhile, Kermit the frog has come out in support of the union. Read all about it as yet another muppet has his say on the independence referendum debate.

At six years-old most people are probably just about capable of demanding fizzy pop and crisps, but not many are winning public speaking contests. In Tuesday’s Courier meet the young Dundee lad bucking the trend in spectacular fashion.

Talking of precocious youngsters we have part one of our exclusive investigation into the somewhat controversial curriculum for excellence. The way ahead or a piece of ruddy nonsense? We aim to find out in our “Testing Times” (clever that) series.

In sport St Johnstone, Dundee, Raith Rovers and Cowdenbeath are all in Tuesday night action. Cognisant of those fixtures, we provide previews of all their games.

Dundee United, however, have to wait another night but that doesn’t stop Jackie McNamara having his say on the Gavin Gunning Rangers link.

For more on every last news, and indeed sport, nugget aforementioned please do be sure to snap up a copy of Tuesday’s Courier. Alternatively why not try our digital edition?
