Emergency crews were called out to the west coast at the weekend following reports of a person in the water.
Stornoway coastguard received an alert call from Police Scotland at 11.32pm on Saturday evening in response to reports of a person in the water near Sands Caravan Park in Gairloch.
Portree lifeboat were subsequently drafted to the scene alongside coastguard teams from Gairloch and Poolewe.
The casualty was rescued from the water before being transferred into the hands of the police.
